L’Eglise Episcopale a beau se dédouaner du scandale de trafic d’armes auquel elle est associée depuis la découverte de la cargaison d’armes qui lui était destinée, de nouveaux éléments continuent de tendre à son implication. L’institution policière a informé le 24 août 2022 que le comptable de l’Eglise Episcopale a été arrêté suite à des documents compromettants auxquels la Police Judiciaire a eu accès.
Selon ses documents, Jean Gilles Jean Mary, responsable de la comptabilité de l’Eglise a signé des autorisations dans le but de faciliter des transferts d’argent du compte de l’Eglise Episcopale vers le compte d’un vendeur d’armes international de 2017 à 2021.
Rappelons qu’un religieux épiscopal, le père Frantz Cole a été précedemment interpellé dans le cadre de cette affaire de trafic d’armes.
