Après diverses campagnes médiatiques et des actions en justice pour exiger la libération de Me Robinson Pierre-Louis secrétaire général de l’ordre des avocats de Port-au-Prince, le barreau de ladite juridiction a essuyé un échec. La cour d’appel a émis une ordonnance en date du 26 juillet 2022. Elle a décidé que l’arrestation de Me Robinson Pierre-Louis est légale et que par conséquent il doit rester en prison en attendant les suites de la procédure.
Pour rappel, Robinson Pierre-Louis est un avocat connu de Port-au-Prince qui est impliqué de façon présumée dans un dossier de trafic d’armes.Malgré cette accusation de la police judiciaire, il n’a pas été écarté de sa fonction au barreau mais il a plutôt reçu le support de la batonnière Marie Suzie Legros qui estime que l’arrestation de son collègue est abusive. “Il ne faisait que son boulot d’avocat”, avait-elle argumenté.
