La Police Nationale d’Haïti a informé ,hier vendredi 15 juillet, de l’arrestation de Gina Jean-Louis Rolls qui a reçu le collis destiné à l’Eglise Episcopale.
Pratiquant le métier de Broker, Gina Jean-Louis Rolls a falicité le dédouanement des containers au nom de l’Eglise Episcopale, dans lesquels il y avait une vingtaine d’armes, 140 chargeurs et 14 600 projectiles. Rolls a nié son implication dans le traffic d’armes car elle dit qu’elle ignorait si des armes et des munitions étaient y dissimulées. Or, des journalistes ont rapporté qu’elle a tenté de corrompre des employés de la douane afin d’empêcher à ces derniers de vérifier les containers.
La Police Nationale d’Haïti a également rapporté la saisie de faux billets de dollars américains. 50 mille faux billets de cent dollars dont la somme est de 5 millions. Apparemment, l’Eglise Episcopale n’est pas seulement impliquée de façon présumée dans le traffic d’armes, elle semble être également dans la contrefaçon et l’escroquerie. Seule une enquête judiciaire est à même d’éclaircir cette affaire scandaleuse.
