Les haïtiens ont dépensé près de 80 millions de dollars américains en cinq ans pour l’obtention de Visas dominicains, révèle une enquête du journal dominicain Listin Diario.
« Au moins 79,5 millions de dollars, ont été collectés par les cinq consulats dominicains installés en Haïti en délivrant des visas entre 2015 et 2020. De ce montant, seulement 11,6 millions de dollars sont entrés dans les coffres de l’État dominicain, selon les certifications du ministère des Affaires étrangères (Mirex) », peut-on lire dans l’enquête du journal dominicain Listin Diario. « Cela se traduit par 20% de tous les fonds collectés par les missions consulaires à Port-au-Prince, Ouanaminthe, Anse-à-Pitre, Belladère et Cap-Haïtien, permettant à ces légations d’administrer au moins 67 902 105 $ pour la gestion de leurs opérations », a-t-il ajouté.
« Les sommes que gagnent ces diplomates et les multiples façons de canaliser cet argent positionnent les consulats en Haïti parmi « les plus convoités » des postes du gouvernement. C’est ce qu’affirme le sénateur de la frontière Elías Piña, Yván Lorenzo, pour qui ces missions diplomatiques sont un « butin » des dirigeants des partis au pouvoir, « y compris le mien », a-t-il admis, en référence au Parti de libération dominicaine », a poursuivi le Listin Diario.
