L’ex-président Michel Martelly s’est exprimé de vive voix sur l’assassinat du président Jovenel Moïse à travers une vidéo travaillée en couleur sombre. Michel Martelly a déclaré que Jovenel Moïse a appris à toute une génération à se tenir debout. Jovenel avait cette force dont Haïti avait besoin, a-t-il continué. Martelly regrette qu’il a fallu que Moïse décède pour que l’on se rende compte de sa grandeur.
Avec le décès de Jovenel Moïse, Haïti est réveillée, selon le chanteur de Sweet Micky. Jovenel Moïse comprenait le pays dans toute sa contradiction. “Président, tu n’avais pas peur de dire tout haut ce qu’on disait tout bas, tu as dénoncé ce qui rongeait le pays depuis l’indépendance, tu as attaqué le coeur du problème”, poursuivit l’ancien président.
Si les assassins ont tué Jovenel Moïse, s’ils l’ont massacré, le chanteur croit que le peuple a maintenant les yeux ouverts et le peuple va mettre les auteurs du crime sur le banc de touche.
Il n’y a pas de retour en arrière. Jovenel Moïse a montré la direction dans laquelle il faut aller, s’exclame Martelly. Selon lui, ils ne pourront pas éteindre le soleil, bloquer l’eau et tuer toutes les personnes, le rêve Jovenel Moïse va continuer.
Michel Martelly a demandé pardon à Jovenel Moïse pour lui avoir traîné sur le terrain de la politique. Il dit qu’il ne l’a pas fait pour le conduire à sa perte, encore moins pour plonger sa femme et ses enfants dans le chagrin. Il a aussi demandé pardon pour ceux qui critiquaient Jovenel sans raison valable et sans penser que ce comportement pouvait pousser les criminels à commettre cette barbarie. Enfin, il a demandé pardon pour ceux qui ont commis l’acte.
“Haïti a perdu un de ses fils, un de trop. Un lion ne meurt jamais, il dort. Jovenel, mon frère, repose en paix”, a conclu Michel Martelly.
