Le gouverneur de l’État de New York, Andrew Cuomo, accusé de harcèlement sexuel par plusieurs femmes, a annoncé mardi sa démission, une semaine après un rapport accablant sur l’affaire.
« Etant donné les circonstances, la meilleure manière de vous aider est de me retirer », a déclaré M. Cuomo, qui a aussi présenté ses « profondes excuses ».
Face aux accusations accablantes, la Maison Blanche avait encouragé Andrew Cuomo a quitté ses fonctions. « Je pense qu’il devrait démissionner », avait alors affirmé Joe Biden.
