Deux ans après l’assassinat de la militante féministe Antoinette Duclaire dit Netty, la fondation féministe Nègès Mawon a lancé une bourse portant son nom en partenariat avec la Fondation Marijàn, la Fondation Konesans ak Libète (FOKAL) et la Fondation Antoinette Duclair, exactement le 29 juin, date de son assassinat.
La cérémonie de lancement a eu lieu le 29 juin 2023 aux Cayes en présence des membres de la famille de Netty Duclair, de ses amis et d’autres personnes admiratrices de son combat. La bourse ANTOINETTE DUCLAIRE comprend le financement des études secondaires des jeunes filles de la localité originaire de Netty. Elle prévoit également d’autres accompagnements pour les bénéficiaires.
La bourse est effective exclusivement pour les adolescentes originaires de Chantal et couvre la scolarité de la 3e à la terminale. Les fondations qui travaillent sur ce programme de bourse disent effectuer cette oeuvre en alignement à la vision de la défunte Antoinette Duclaire. Tout en gardant vivante sa mémoire, Nègès continue à demander justice pour la militante Netty Duclair, partie trop tôt et arrachée de la vie par des balles assassines.
