Le Canada annonce l’établissement d’un bureau de collaboration avec la Police National d’Haïti pour lutter contre l’insécurité. Au préalable, le Canada voulait installer le bureau en République Dominicaine pour plus de proximité.
Après l’annonce de Melanie Joly, ministre des affaires étrangères du Canada, les autorités dominicaines ont vite réagi. Elles ont refusé d’accorder au Canada l’autorisation d’implanter le bureau sur leur territoire.
Suite au refus de la République Dominicaine, le Canada se met en mode recherche. Il dit être à la recherche d’un autre pays pour installer le bureau. Le plus proche d’Haïti sera le mieux mais pas question de venir en Haïti.
Cette annonce du Canada a inspiré des clips d’humour sur les réseaux car certains haïtiens se demandent pourquoi le bureau ne peut pas être logé ici en Haïti. “Pour résoudre un problème, il faut être hors du problème”, a proposé l’humoriste Cantave K. Comme réponse.
